EMALO Mother's Group

• EMALO Mother’s Group was developed specifically for mums aged 24 or younger… why? Because of our lived experience foundations and the research-based facts. Being a young mum increases the likelihood of invalidation, stigma, and discrimination so we want to ensure that young mums and their children have compassionate and holistic social support.
• Our babies are social beings and allowing them to interact with other similar age babies can bring so much development and joy to them. 
• At the end of the day – being a mum can be lonely, isolating and, at times, just really hard. We all need and deserve our village… and a Mothers Group can be where you find yours! 

• Whether you’re a first-time mum or ‘been here before’, raising a little one in their first 12 months brings constant learning, growth, and re-orienting. EMALO Mother’s Group opens the space for open and honest questions and support around all that.
• In today’s society, we are constantly bombarded with so much information that it starts to get disorienting. EMALO Mother’s Group brings in trusted experts (and lived experience) to offer real guidance and allow you to make your own informed and empowered decisions.

• We have all been there… leaving the hospital with a mountain of flyers on all the support and programs that a post-natal mum can access. It’s overwhelming, the flyers go missing and calling that number can just be daunting. Our EMALO Mother’s Group facilitators have the access and connections to provide warm referrals to the help you, whether it’s for you, your baby or both.

• 10 week program cycle that consists of one mothers’ group for 0-12 months. School Term based so length of each group may slightly vary.
• EMALO Mother’s Group is facilitated by our program coordinator which consists of an introductory session, eight educational sessions delivered by professional postnatal speakers and an end-of-program celebratory session (including a mother/child photography session).

Term 4 of EMALO Mother’s Group is starting on the 17th of October and running over 9 weeks. 

0–12 months, Thursday’s 10-11:30am

Bookings are essential as the capacity is 8 mothers per group.

Our program facilitator will be in contact with you with the full details of the program that you are booked in to and provide you with the details on how to get to the venue.

You will also receive a reminder text the week before the program starts.

This program is for mums and their babies only.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate partners, family members, or other children. Our programs run during school terms and within school hours.

We do ask that if you or your baby are unwell stay at home to ensure that we protect the health of all our mums and babies attending.

If you and your baby are unwell, all attempts will be made to offer you a catch-up session in the following group, depending on the number of participants.
