Have you ever felt like you weren’t good enough?
That you don’t fit in or look as good as the people around you?
Do you find yourself constantly comparing yourself to those around you?
…
Unfortunately we live in a world where we are consistently saturated with images, movies and pressure from our friends to look, dress and act a certain way in order to “fit” in. The problem is though, this causes us to continually compare ourselves to others and this comparison can be destructive. It eats away at our ability to be content and have self-confidence; forcing us to hide our true identity.
Sometimes we think that the more perfect we are, the more love and acceptance we will get. If we have the right clothes, the right hairstyle, the right body shape or size or the right boyfriend, then we will feel accepted, admired & adored… but at what cost?
But! Did you know that you are one-of-a-kind?
You were created as an individual with unique qualities that only you have. You are a one-off, an original, incomparable… a unique individual. When you start to compare these amazing matchless qualities and measure them up against unrealistic images or other people, you began to lose some of the great qualities that makes you, you!
Don’t lesson your value or uniqueness by continually comparing yourself to others. You have so much value and worth. Embrace and celebrate who you are. See the goodness in front of you and inside of you. Don’t continue to strive to be different or exactly like the girl standing next to you. Be you, because you are perfect just the way you are.
“You are enough. You are so enough. It is unbelievable how enough you are”
